BIOgraphy
Montgomery Wood (AKA Monty) was born in Vermont and is also Canadian. Monty was a defenseman during most of his youth until he left home at 14 to play for the Syracuse Nationals. There, he discovered his passion for being a forward. At 15 he joined the Midwest Prep Hockey League (MPHL) with Rice as a forward. As a senior this year, Monty is honored to be playing forward for the Tahoe Prep Academy in the United Tier 1 Hockey League. At 6’5″, Monty takes his role as a power forward seriously and enjoys forechecking and breaking up plays. When not playing hockey and training, Monty enjoys baseball and hanging out with his friends.

Mentorship with Beyond Hockey
My name is Dustin Manz, I am currently finishing my 5th year of Division 1 college hockey at American International College completing my MBA. I am looking to work with Hockey players of any age or level who want to increase their hockey IQ, improve on & off ice skills, and increase confidence on the ice in all areas. This will be achieved through 1 on 1 meetings as frequently as the player feels is necessary. In these meetings, we will break down games by shift analysis, work through scenarios together, and cover other areas outside of hockey that can improve your on-ice play.
